News Issue a Challenge
One unique feature this site has is the ability to challenge each other to write a story of a certain loose plot line you would like to read. It can be a one-shot or a full blown novel, it's up to you... or rather, the author who chooses to accept the challenge. The 'Challenges' link at the top of this page will allow you to do as much. There is no limit to how many challenges can be issued, or to how many people can respond to each challenge. - Keira Caramello_k on 02/18/08 01:11 am 0 Comments Domain Now Working It took a while, and a lot of help from tech support and the administration over at freehostia, but they finally sorted out all the kinks and not only is the site finally back online, but the domain URL http://www.wrong-side-of-the-tracks.com is now working. Current State of the Site The site was being built on my laptop during the late-summer/early-fall of 2007, but when the motherboard on my laptop died I lost all the information the web building program I had. I tried to reinstall it on my desktop computer, only to find out I didn't have enough RAM to run it. The picture in the upper left hand corner is definitely random, and a little irritating, but it was put up as a test picture just before my laptop went POOF! and cannot be removed until I have the program back on my computer. As a result of that, this site has been sitting empty and desolate for the better part of five months. I finally decided that one little picture didn't make or break this site, even though it took me about six months to come to that conclusion, lol. I'm working on getting my laptop fixed and in the meantime I have another memory stick on it's way to me, so hopefully within the next little while this site will be much fresher looking. Starting now, however, you are more than welcome to join and post your stories. We hope you will enjoy what this this site has to offer, and we encourage everyone to feel free to participate. - Keira Caramello_k on 01/11/08 09:39 pm 0 Comments |
